“Figar is a nice restaurant/café with great brunch. If you can't find a place, just try one of the other cafes next to it. The street is full of nice places!”

“Really good food but quite expensive! (Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner) Joma is one of the Figlmüller-restaurants, they have the best Schnitzel!”

“Dark, red, cosy, but seems "dirty", hidden but open, you have got to go there to know what the "Kaffeehaus" is for a Viennese - there´s no perfect time.. in the evening you might find it difficult to get a seat .... no borders, no nations, no seat reservations! ”

“MY PERSONAL RECOMMENDATION FOR SCHNITZEL AND GULASCH IN VIENNA: The ANZENGRUBER is not in the neighborhood (it´s in the city center, next to the Naschmarkt), but very authentic Vienna restaurant with the best WIENER SCHNITZEL and GULASCH in town. I go there once a week, for more than 30(!) years now :-). It´s not a very posh place, the interiour has not changed since the 70ties, but it´s always crowded with locals and a few tourists who know about this insider´s tip :-). It´s owned and run by family Saric (originally from Croatia) and very popular with the Vienniese´artists/media/creative community. It´s also the best place to watch a soccer game - if you are not in soccer do not go there during Soccer Championship times or Champions League days ;-).”

“In close proximity to St. Stephen's cathedral and one of my favourite traditional Viennese coffee houses with a twist thanks to excentric and artsy owner, Susanne Widl. Try their applestrudle, best in town - apart from my grandmas ;-) They also offer lunch-menu with a veg option every day. ”
