Love this place for coffee or lunch. A large and light space to sit. A little wendy house in the corner keeps small people occupied. The farm shop has many treats to enjoy and the shop and garden centre are delightful.

Very near to Stables in Holt, this is a gorgeous cafe with stand out coffee, cakes and food. Lovely setting Jess than a 5 minute walk from the cottage.

If you fancy a trip on a Bank Holiday Weekend, on the last Bank Holiday Monday in August, there’s Box Rocks, 8 hours of Live Music. Pub food available, a game of pool or if fine, have a game of boules! A little play area for children will keep youngsters happy. For a great view, seats higher up overlook the park.

It is a pretty town with the river flowing through it. A little busy around the road so after a wander in the town, take a trip down Church Street or head to The Tythe Barn where there is peace, quiet and historic places to be found. Great parks for children too.

Designed by Capability Brown - walk through the tree lined avenue or if wanting to explore further, take the stile into the parklands scattered with large oaks. You can wander down to the lake where a lot of bird life can be seen. You might see muntjac in the surrounding woodland.

If you turn left out of the drive and travel 3 miles to the roundabout, take a right and then after the bus stop on the left, there is a free car park. You can explore the pretty walled in garden and then cross the bridge for a 20 minute river walk. Take a left at the road and you will soon be at Bathampton Mill which is a great place for a meal or drink. If you want to walk further, take a left, which leads you to the canal path. Turn right to walk into Bath which is approximately another 30 + minutes. You can take a river cruise back to the Mill from under Pulteney Bridge.
