There are so many beaches to visit it is hard to choose. Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta have great beaches and a variety of restaurants and cafes to choose from. Surfers Paradise is very touristy but a must see with the iconic Metre Maids and very lively nightlife. Broadbeach is more family friendly and has the Casino and Pacific fair shopping centre which is huge.

Southbank has restaurants, coffee shops, entertainment, beautiful parklands and a large sandy man made beach to cool down in. It's great to go for the whole day to picnic, or catch a ferry on the Brisbane River.
