Food Scene
Great atmosphere, superb food. Note - they do not accept bookings so it's best to arrive a little early to ensure a short wait for a table! The oysters are fantastic & the sashimi plate is to die for!

Sightseeing
Include the walk up the Maitai River walkway to the footbridge at Hardy Street. Head through the Botaniques playing field & it's about a 15minute walk to the top of the hill. It's a bit of a huff & a puff if you're not feeling fit, but the short hike is well worth it with spectacular views over the city centre, over Tasman Bay & also up the Maitai valley.

Parks & Nature
Quiet walkways through the Grampians Reserve on a hill immediately behind the city centre. This is a favourite place amongst locals - great views, natural surrounds, some farm land & sheep & some remnant ancient forest on walks like the Kahikatea Track!
