Food Scene

Coba Tacos has recently opened just next to the SkateCafe on the corner, and serves authentic Mexican tacos. in a "Tarantino-esque" atmosphere. They don’t have a website or Facebook page, they’d like to stay off the grid and be found by people. If there was ever a hidden gem, this is it!

Bit on the fancy side with an awesome location, right at the water. At night they often light fires outside where you can snuggle up to each other with a glass of wine.

This place doesn't really fit in a category.: you can have drinks here, eat, there's often a DJ playing and... there's a giant halfpipe in the middle of the restaurant. All of "hipster" Amsterdam can be found here, definitely a place for the incrowd!

Sightseeing

All the tourists go to Volendam and Edam, but Broek in Waterland is the true gem. In the 17th century this little village just 13km north of Amsterdam was known around the world for being "a true Dutch village". Napoleon even stayed there! We suggest renting a bike and biking a leisurely 30 minutes through the country side. In Broek in Waterland, park your bikes and wander around the almost fairy tale like little streets.

Metro 52 goes every 6 minutes and cuts right through the city center all the way to the South in 16 minutes. It stops at all the main spots in the city and is by far the quickest and easiest way to get around when it's raining.
