Stowe is the place everyone else knows about VT. Very touristy, Mountain Road is beautiful to top of Mt. Mansfield. (toll road) There is a gondola to the top with a restaurant.

Nice way to see the Adirondack Mountains and learn about revolutionary war history. 1 and 1/2 hour tour or you could take the Champlain Ferry to Port Kent and back.
