Mammoth Lakes is truly a world class resort for winter sports activities and just as much if not more summer activities, like camping, fishing, biking, rock climbing, hiking. Mammoth has it's on Airport you can fly in for convenience or in case of emergency fly out back to work or families. Also Mammoth has active volcanic activity, hot springs, post piles, and some old gold mining caves, and waterfalls.

9000 feet elevation, is not a joke!
It takes a few days to get acclimated to high altitude, get ready to be out of breath just going up one flight of stairs, it's very dry air, so bring chopsticks drink lots of water. After three days or so you will be acclimated and function the same way you do at the sea level.

My place specifications!
We have wood pellets burning fireplace starts with a turn of a thermostat located just to the right of the fireplace, make sure you have pellets loaded by opening top of the fireplace door up and look in side, you have two buckets of pellets on then right, refill if need to. Use fireplace manly for atmosphere, use wall heater to heat the place specially overnight.
make sure to turn it all off before you leave.
