Our favorite breakfast place! It's in St. George but only about 15 minutes away. It's a small establishment but the stuffed french toast is worth the wait!

Water Activities

With its warm, blue waters and red sandstone landscape, one of Utah’s newer state parks is also one of its most popular. Boat, fish, and dive at Sand Hollow Reservoir, explore and ride the dunes of Sand Mountain on an off-highway vehicle. The Beach at Sand Hollow has rentals for ATV's, UTV's, kayaks, paddle boards and even has a place to buy ice cream, food and drinks!

This is a free community park that is a rock climbers paradise. You can find areas to boulder, a cave, a slot canyon, and beautiful views of the city of St. George below. This 50+ acre park includes covered picnic tables, bathrooms, and an amphitheater with fire pit. Super fun for the kids to climb around and use up some energy!

Red Hills Desert Garden is Utah’s first desert conservation garden. The nearly 5-acre garden features 5,000 water-efficient plants, a 1,150-foot stream stocked with native and endangered fish species, a replica slot canyon and prehistoric dinosaur tracks found onsite dating back 200 million years.

Open to the public, the St. George Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Visitors can walk through the colorful gardens lined with towering trees, sit by the fountains and cascading waterfall, enjoy the beautiful views, and feel the peace of the grounds. While you're there, you can take a guided tour at the Visitors' Center.

Open to the public, the St. George Temple is a beautiful and peaceful place to visit. Visitors can walk through the colorful gardens lined with towering trees, sit by the fountains and cascading waterfall, enjoy the beautiful views, and feel the peace of the grounds. While you're there, you can take a guided tour at the Visitors' Center.
Tonaquint Nature Center is an oasis of nature in the heart of St. George. The ripple of Santa Clara river, the rustle of cattails and the screech of a red-tailed hawk are experiences to discover at St. George’s best kept secret. Located at 1851 South Dixie Drive, just west of South Gate Golf Course, Tonaquint Nature Center offers outdoor education programs, special events and summer nature camp programs.

Trail head is located at Red Cliffs Campground just 15 miles north of St. George. This is an easy, family friendly hike that is 1.44 miles. This trail includes a waterfall, swimming hole, and pictographs. The waterfall marks the official end of this hike. There are also some additional hike nearby that are fun, including a hike to dinosaur fossils.
