Best sushi in town. Top secret note- their happy hour provides 50% off sushi and drinks. BUT limited to 12 people per night. Line usually starts at 4:30 for 5:30 happy hour. But if you have an hour to kill, great sushi for a budget price!

Best ramen in DC. Two restaurants in one- top floor is an Izakaya and bottom is a ramen house. Ramen house doesn't take reservations and there is always a line- but you can go upstairs, order a drink and an appetizer and ask the host to put your name on the list downstairs.

Pack a picnic, go to the boathouse and rent a kayak (double/single) or canoe and paddle around Roosevelt Island (great hiking) and get amazing views of the monuments from the river. Also have Stand Up Paddle boards. Life jackets provided.
