Sightseeing
This traffic free cycle/walking path runs from Glasson Dock to Lancaster (5miles) and is as scenic a track as any in the UK, offering extensive views over the salt marshes and the river lune as it makes it's way toward the estuary. It forms the start or finish to the Bay Cycle Way which travels from/to Walney Island beyond Barrow in Furness.

Lancaster has plenty of historic buildings notably the castle & it's surrounds, the old quayside and town hall. The shopping area is mostly pedestrianised & offers a good array of shops. There's a great varied selection of pubs around the town centre.
