1.5hrs from Wellington with some 2 wheel drive dirt roads. Beautiful and interesting. If you have a 4 wheel drive there are some challenging spots beyond this point view the Private Property gate which can be accessed.

Great spot to get out of town in less than an hour. Don't go when it's windy. You may get your feet wet too. The beach isn't suitable to swim at (Dangerous). Great views from on top of the hills. Below the lighthouse is a great bouldering/climbing spot.
