This is a beautiful small regional park with a large sandy beach. There are picnic tables, benches, and a fire pit for day use. It is an excellent spot on a beautiful day.

A gorgeous spot for a picnic, outing, or family time.

There is also a large playground, sport fields, and lengthy paved pathways for walking, biking, rollerblading.
In the summer, kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddle boards can be rented.

To reach this nature area from our property, drive down the highway away from Nelson. Turn left off the highway just after “The Dam” Resturant.
Rather than turning down the road leading to the restaurant itself, continue straight. This will take you to a small parking lot.
Follow the paved pathway toward the lake.  you can then head to the beach, or around the nature walk loop.
Lots of locals will bring their dogs to this area and swim in the water.
