Copper is 13.5 miles west on I-70. In addition to skiing, the resort offers outdoor ice skating on the pond. Ice skates are available to rent. There is an alpine coaster that is open year-round. In the summer months, they have bike rentals, a golf course, Go Karts and other fun activies.

Summit Stage
If you are coming during ski season parking can be difficult to find near the ski areas. Look into taking the Summit Stage. It's free and google maps will tell you which bus(es) to take. The bus stop is just a short walk up at the corner of Wildernest and Ryan Gulch Rd.

An AWD vehicle is best
It is best to have an all-wheel drive vehicle especially in the winter. Once you arrive, you can take the Summit Stage to get to the ski resorts, but you may want a car to run to the grocery store, go out to eat, etc. There are no restaurants within walking distance, but you can take the Summit Stage bus.
