Carpenter and Angel Falls on Skaneateles Lake is another bit of a drive to get to, but the waterfalls and trail are usually empty and beautiful. Skaneateles is also a wonderful and quaint town to visit.

Grimes Glen at the bottom of Canandaigua Lake, in the Village of Naples, is an absolute stunner of a creek walk and a quaint town that feels wonderfully off the grid. Also the home of concord grape pies.
