Like Prospect Heights, Park Slope has lots of shopping, restaurants, coffee shops, etc. I would recommend walking along 5th ave and 7th Ave.

In addition to restaurants tucked away on side streets and Dekalb Ave. I would recommend the green market/farmer's market on the weekends at Fort Greene Park

Lots of runners, cyclists. and pedestrians. Great place to picnic on a nice day or cycle around the park on a Citi Bike.
