All of Hocking Hills is beautiful any time of the year. A snowy day can be exceptional!! One of our favorites to hike is Cedar Falls, especially when the waterfalls are frozen, it’s just beautiful and serene.

I just love Rose Lake!! It is a hidden gem where it feels like you’re walking through a cathedral of pine trees that opens up to Rose Lake. As you walk along the lake you’ll see where the beavers have been busy. Not a lot of parking here but it is also a less busy sight to visit which is probably why it’s my favorite. Very serene.

We like to drive into Adelphi for our favorite pizza at Steve’s Pizza. It is only about a 17 minute drive from Post-Time Cabin. It has a really cute shop too!

The Ridge Inn is in Laurelville and it has great food and desserts in an old time restaurant. It’s only about 15 minutes away from the cabin. It’s an old place the locals frequent and not fancy at all. The meatloaf and mashed potatoes were very good.

This is where we grocery shop when staying at the cabin. It’s only 15 minutes from Post-Time Cabin!! Small grocery but has everything you could need for a weekend or a week.
They even have a pharmacy. Young’s closes at 6 pm on Sundays and other days they close at 8 pm.

12789 OH-664The swimming lake of Holiday Haven. We go here all the time for a swim in the lake during the summer. They have a small beach area and picnic tables under a shelter. This is your typical pond to take a dip in and maybe feel the fish nibble at your toes. Dan loves to walk around the pond and fish. There is a play structure for kids too. To get to the swimming lake you go back down Deerberry to Middlefork Rd and turn right then turn left on Trillium Way. Go up the hill and you will see the lake. Please do not take cabin towels to the swimming lake.
