Two of Scotland's top Michelin star chefs, Tom Kitchin and Dominic Jack have come together to create menus of fresh, home-cooked dishes using quality, seasonal, local produce. The pub is open seven days a week serving lunch, bar ‘scran’ and dinner as well as an extensive drinks menu throughout the day. The rustic but charming interior of the pub features many of the old features of the building, refreshed with modern Scottish accents and a hint of Scandinavian influences.

The park is great place to relax and take in beautiful views of Edinburgh Castle and also provides one of the best places to view Edinburgh Festival Fireworks from Edinburgh Castle. (which happen every night throughout August) It also has 3 football, 4 rugby and 6 seven-a-side pitches, a cricket square, petanque area, and an excellent children’s play area, along with a large pond where you can feed the ducks and swans. The park also hosts some 400 events each year. It's big enough to also accommodate allotments for gardeners, a large pond with a landscaped "marsh" area, a secluded Sundial Garden (the sundial dated 1890), and an arts access centre "Four Winds." It's also a popular place for walking the dog, jogging, or quiet walks.
