This hidden away little gem is a greasy spoon right on the water's edge of the harbour. An absolute sun trap, cheap, good cup of tea, great views and you have to remind yourself you're in the UK. It's where I take all my out of town friends to to make them feel jealous! X

Now, don't get me wrong. This isn't a place I'd like to set foot in due to Mr Tim Martin and I sharing widely different political views...however, the art work in it all relates to Ramsgate, and the terrace is an absolute delight...if you get it on a quieter time.
Best time to go? Come in the winter when there's a storm and sit inside and watch it from the massive car windscreen windows!

Cycle out here, walk or drive. Another of those lovely little spots we have strewn about where there's space, coffee, views, fresh air. :)

Sightseeing
The photos don't do it justice on here. Parking is easy, or its a lovely 10 minute walk from the house along the seafront. Lots of seating, great sea views and a bar or a cafe depending on the time of day. Great place to watch all those with fab model boats too. A real spot to unwind.

The Boating Pool

Lots of seating, great sea views and a bar or a cafe depending on the time of day. Great place to watch all those with fab model boats too. A real spot to unwind.
2 minutes walk from the house. Lovingly restored bandstand, new cafe run by volunteers, new play area, well loved by residents. If you want that early morning stroll pop down here before breakfast, it is literally at the end of the road.
