A fantastic day out to Inchcolm Island. Take the bus from Waverley Bridge to the boat terminal in Queensferry. See the seals, puffins, take in the views and explore the island and Abbey. Forth tours.

A 30 minute walk from the flat. Well worth seeing. Free Entry although they do charge to get oin the glass houses. Also a small garden centre in case you want to start your own Botanic Garden.

The only pandas in the UK. Plus the Chomp house is really good and lots of other cool animals to see. No Elephants though and they are our favourite.

Geat place to start a hike along the Water of Leith. Takes about 5 hours to walk all the way to BAlerno but there is a bus back! Lovely easy walk no big hills.

A great local hike. One of the highest Pentland Hills. There is a 4 hour circular route from the Flotterstone Inn. The Pentlands make for a fantastic day out. Quite strenuous.

Park here and climb Ben A'an for one of the best views in Scotland. Under 2000 ft so quite easy and a well marked path. Breathtaking vista from the top.

Under cover shopping mall. Free parking. It has a Marks and Spencer which is absolutely essential. Also quite a good Debenhams and lots of souvenir places for tourists. Also a great Cinema.
