Parks & Nature
Just off the beaten track, on dirt road, you'll find this stunning lake. Water is warm and perfect for swimming, boating, canoeing, sailing. There are also braai facilities and a climbing gym for the kids. Toilet facilities are kept clean.

Local beach with lifeguards - get there early in peak season to find parking. You can walk along the old railway line to Vic Bay - approx. 2 kms one way - stay in a group for safety.

500m walk (heading towards Wilderness) you'll find a small parking lot on the right and opposite a hidden path which will take you to the most beautiful 'private' beach. Tourists won't know about it, only locals and fishermen, so it's always quiet. If you have a fear of height, this won't be a good option for you, but the lookout from the top is worth a visit.
8th Avenue
8th Avenue500m walk (heading towards Wilderness) you'll find a small parking lot on the right and opposite a hidden path which will take you to the most beautiful 'private' beach. Tourists won't know about it, only locals and fishermen, so it's always quiet. If you have a fear of height, this won't be a good option for you, but the lookout from the top is worth a visit.
