This Starbucks is 5 minutes from the house. It is right across from the Safeway and a regular java stop for me when I am in the area.

We like this Italian restaurant. 6 minutes from the house. They serve a decent martini and have a good wine selection. My husband likes the lasagne, and I like the cheese ravioli.

Located in the Ko Olina resort about 15 minutes from the house. Mid-price range. You can easily spend $50 for lunch for 2, But you don't have to. Entertainment on the outdoor deck.

Swap meet on Sat & Sun. Go early. It can be hot. A combo of permanent shops (tourist & not) and there are 1-time sellers looking for extra $$. I go on Sun as I like to buy from the 1-time sellers.

This is a tourist spot, but I have to say that even as a local girl, I often stop there to check out the shops and have a piece of pineapple. Avoid the crowds and go in the morning.

Haleiwa town is in the heart of the famous North Shore. Cute shops, beaches, restaurants & famous shaved ice. It can be very crowded. As with most sights in Hawaii, earlier is better.
