This place is literally less than a mile away. Fun little restaurant on the Catawba with an outside bar and deck. If you're spending time at the bar ask for Ned, tell him where you're staying, and you're guaranteed stiff drinks.

Sammy's is a local restaurant with a neighborhood pub feel. Fantastic food and lots of local craft beers on tap.

Glenway is the place to go in Belmont to watch a game. The place is surrounded by TVs. Great food and service. (the wings...) They also have a covered dog-friendly porch with TVs, fans and heaters in the winter.

Pinky's has some of the best burgers in Charlotte. I cannot recommend their Pimpin' Fries enough. These are waffle fries with pimento cheese melted on top. Really laid back atmosphere.

If you are looking for an elegant spot with amazing food- Beef n Bottle is it. It's not cheap- but the steak will literally melt in your mouth. Can be very intimate- great fancy date night.

This is the only facility of its kind in the country. Activities include whitewater rafting (of course), ziplining, miles of bike trails, rock climbing, and many more. A must see...fun for people of all ages.
