Absolutely phenomenal service, and food. The dessert is brilliant, and they even had some lovely ports and santorini wine (vin de santo). The staff is super friendly and attentive. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the area and looking for an upscale meal.

The Torpedo Factory Art Center, as the name implies, was once a naval munitions factory that was converted to become an art center. Just across the bridge from Washington, DC, it's located on the banks of the Potomac River at 105 North Union Street in Old Town of Alexandria, Virginia.

A great little gem tucked away in a residential area of Northern Virginia. Small, but beautiful. Hiking trails, a paved bike road, creeks, a river, and a wetland area are all great for kids to spend a few hours exploring. You forget that you are in suburbia the minute you step onto the trail.
