Rock Creek Park has some nice walking trails. It's a small forest within a city. Head down to Beach Drive and Tilden St. N.W. (take taxi) to visit and maybe picnic at Peirce Mill. Continue onto the path near Peirce Mill called the Western Ridge Trail, and venture into a leisure hike into the forest. Lots of food options! This is an indoor food hall with outside and rooftop seating. The hall has two retail shops. You have your choice of ramen, takorean, acai bowl, bagels, etc!

Another indoor food hall nearby Union Market BUT with a Latin American theme. Inside there is one Salvadoran food stall called La Casita.
D.C. has one of the highest Salvadoran populations in the U.S. Salvadorans have immensely shaped D.C. into the city it is today. If you haven't already, you must try a Pupusa (a tortilla stuffed w/ cheese, and/or meat), served with a side of curtido (pickled cabbage).
There are two high-end retail shops inside too!
