Howth is a terrific coastal town only 5 kms away and on a direct bus and train route from my house. Walk the piers, watch the fishermen bring in their catch and then eat fresh fish in one of the many restaurants. Do the cliff walk and enjoy the stunning views; there is even an air b n b 'experience' offered by a local which is getting good reviews.

Another great seaside town on the north Dublin coast. Directly accessible from my house by train in ten minutes. Great restaurants and bars and excellent boutiques and speciality shops. Visit Malahide castle and gardens and enjoy the excellent visitor centre. Have a cup of coffee and a yummy traybake in Avoca before deciding what beautiful Irish designer piece, you are going to bring home.

Have a cup of coffee and a yummy traybake in Avoca before deciding what beautiful Irish designer piece, you are going to bring home.
