Best chef in town- everything on the menu is divine. The staff are friendly and if you go during daylight hours you will have a view of the sea to compliment your exquisite meal!

Check out 'She' chocolate cafe across the street while you're around there- the Cocao hot chocolate (and everything else) is out of this world.

Lovely food, drink and atmosphere that make for a great night life scene. Live music on weekends often. Busy, lively and great fun. Plenty of seating, standing space and outdoor heaters.

Great atmosphere and phenomenal bar. If you need a snack while you're there, the Mexicano's Fried Chicken will not disappoint. Mexicano's (right next door) has fantastic margaritas and sensational food as well if you're after more of a meal than a drink.

If you're in the mood to dance to (typically enjoyable) live music, this is your best bet. Definitely not a place for the sober though so I wouldn't recommend starting your night out here.

Gorgeous gardens to walk through with the most cool and clean water comes out of the fountains- a demonstration in our local delicious tap water. Check out the Canterbury Museum while you're there, it offers fun for the entire family.

More often than not, you will encounter sheep sleepily making their way through the green paddocks. The walk is a popular one with locals and travellers alike and is marked as reasonably easy comparatively. However the roads are narrow and unpaved in some places. Drive slowly and be aware that there may be opposing traffic around any corner. The road is subject to some sudden wicked weather reasonably regularly as well so be aware, prepared and safe if you undertake this activity- good advice whenever you engage nature!

Awesome, the absolute best of the local markets. Held on a Saturday morning over in Lyttleton. If you check it out, be sure to try a Hope River pie. They are divine.
