This is a winery that serves espresso and pastries in the morning, then wonderful panini, salads, and wood-fired pizzas at lunch. Their patio is gorgeous! During warmer months on the weekends, they have their tuxedoed tenors who stroll the piazza between 1-2pm. They're lots of fun -- kind of a mix of comedy and opera. They tend to get the whole crowd singing along.

You must make an appointment to visit. You'll be guided by one of the MacLeod family members on a vineyard tour before sitting down to a picnic table under a spreading oak tree high in the vineyard overlooking the beautiful Valley of the Moon. Bottles of wine will be opened to enjoy with artisan bread, cheese, fruit or chocolate, and it's quite a memorable visit. Make an appointment by calling (707) 833 4312

Amazing Zinfandels and reasonable prices. They have other varietals (Cabernet, Chardonnay, etc.) but really focus on Zinfandel. Their tree-shaded patio is a lovely place in the afternoon.
