Beautiful interior with 16' ceiling. wood paneling, more. Comfortable feel, long lovely bar. Wonderful menu; both small plates around $9 and higher end dinners around $25. Cocktail heaven. My favorite bar rail. The green tomato BLT is fab.

We couldn't get a grocery market to move in downtown...so we built one ourselves! Local coop won the bid by the city and created a now crazy funky successful grocery market; sandwich line, large foodbar, lots of VT and local vendors, organics, local veggies. Worth a visit to see how a city can serve its citizens and sidestep corporate bullshit.

Drinks & Nightlife

A real neighborhood bar, Radio Bean has music 7 nights, great prices and bar, funky atmosphere, young and old mix nicely, my fav bar in BTV. Best bar deal: The $5 Shake; a shot of espresso, local Oatmeal Stout, Cream froth and real maple syrup drizzle--for $5 bucks? Crazy but true. The espresso alone should be $2.50

This bar should not be in a town as small as BTV. Cute, Irish, huge selection of whiskeys and scotches, singles, you name it. Fireplace in winter is sooo intimate. Go HERE on the way home for a lovely nitecap.

Everything Else

Pine ST has developed recently into a destination for locals artist shops, 5 or so microbreweries where you can sample, foodie heaven, a killer wine shop (Deadalus), more. Summertime, the Arts Riot Friday Night food truck event is packed and MUST SEE. Go hungry.
