Central Market is your GoTo local supermarket with an absolutely huge selection of delicious and freshly prepared foods and tons of baked goods, desserts, organic juices, fruits and veggies, etc. Also famous for--and a locals favorite hangout-- due to the VERY reasonably priced entrees like salmon and specialty entrees and salads for $10-12 with no tipping (seat yourself). A great big outdoor deck overlooks a Central Austin Park with hiking trails encircling a beautiful man-made lake and fountains. Lots of Live Music too!

Flying Saucer is a Brew Pub and Sports Bar with big screen in the rear room. The food is actually quite good and the outdoor seating is a blast. The "TRIANGLE" shopping area and park is within walking distance and has many more restaurants and shops to explore including a YOGA STUDIO.

Sightseeing
Mount Bonnell is probably a 12 min derive from our place and features truly stunning views of all of Austin and Downtown, and especially the gorgeous Lake Austin lined with the homes of the rich and famous... Matthew McConaughey, Sandra Bullock, etc. Great short hikes all around the area too!

You can find all kinds of super hip clothing, boots and accessories that are what makes Austin special. There is also a divine authentic INDIAN Restaurant on this strip and an anarchist book shop the "MONKEY WRENCH BOOK STORE" A tasty all VEGAN Taco food trailer is there with limited hours...
