Great outdoor atmosphere during the summer months. They typically have live music. Pre-covid it would tend to get very busy with a line for seat even until 9pm.

Not recommended. When I visited Page for the first time , this was one of my first places to eat at. It used to be my favorite however there service recently took a huge turn for the worse due to Covid. Servers have a server attitude problem.

This is a newer establishment that replaced a former pizza restaurant. The structure incorporates a steam boat. It offers Korean and Japanese food at reasonable prices and it is a personal new favorite of mine. Having grown up eating a lot of very good Asian food, I typically do not recommend any Asian food in Page, however this is my one exception. I am hugely appreciative that it has opened. Check out the steam boat while you are there.

I’m a fan of the service and taquitos. They are have great Tortas. It is better than what I have had in Los Angeles. They are known for their Carne Asada. On my last visit, they started charging an extra $1 for all Carne Asada orders due to Covid (perhaps shortage of beef)? It is only for their steak menu items.

The one and only time I visited, it was just $5 for a tour. Try to go early to book a tour as the sign up sheet fills up pretty quick. They have a nice view of the lake from inside the observation area and a nice little museum. It's an impressive tour.

Towards the second half of 2018, Contour Airlines began regular commercial flights to Page Municipal from Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, and Santa Barbara. Due to covid, most flights have been suspended with the except of Phoenix. Having flown out of the Grand Canyon by helicopter, and having flown over the Grand Canyon and Lake Powell by jet, seeing these two treasuries from the air is truly inspiring. If you happen to be on a time crunch and wish to take a short getaway, why not try flying to Page. Be sure to grab a window seat and avoid sitting next to either of the wings of the plane. (We offer complimentary airport pick up and drop offs) Page Airport also offers sightseeing tours to Monument Valley. They also have a helicopter ride to one of the Buttes nearby Page. I believe they land on the said Butte for picture taking. Car Rentals are also available by Avis.

Parks & Nature

Whether you are just passing through or looking to spend the week, Page offers a wide variation of activities on land, on the water, and in the air. I highly recommend you try all three if your time and budget is permitting.
Try to go during midday to catch a glimpse of the spectacular light beams. The best time for tours is 11 am to 1 pm when the sun is at its highest. Early morning and late afternoon tours are likely to be dark and poorly lit. I recommend against them. Be aware that trucks take you to the mouth of the entrance along a sandy dry river bed. You are likely to ride in the back of the open bed truck. It is extremely dusty and I suggest you bring a mask or something to cover your face and eyes with. Otherwise, try to ride in the cabin if you can. The interior of the canyon is also quite dusty from all of the foot traffic going in both directions. The guides also make it a practice of throwing dust into the air to catch the sunlight.

A different scene compared to upper antelope canyon, the tour flows in just one direction. The canyon is wider and longer and ideal for group pictures. It is definitely less crowded. The entrance is located near the ticketing and parking area.

When I first happened upon Horseshoe Bend, I wasn't sure if I had arrived at the right place. The parking area was completely unpaved, and the signs were obscure. The parking area was relatively empty and you could park literally next to the path of the trail entrance. Much has changed in a relatively short period of time. There is now a paved a parking lot and it is overflowing with cars and tour buses. It has become a little dangerous due to the amount of traffic and large vehicles in such a relatively small area. Be careful with your children and the elderly. They have now added portable restrooms when there was only nature before, and they also put up safety barriers around the rim for safety purposes. There is now a $10 parking fee. Mid morning until late afternoon get hot very quickly in the summer months. Bring some water, sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat. I recommend you visit either very early in morning or towards the very late afternoon and early evening when it isn't so hot and perhaps you can catch the sunset.

Located behind the Denny's off of the 89 highway and along the Scenic View Rd, the overlook gives a great view of the face of the Glen Canyon Dam and the river below. Be aware that there is a trek up and own to the overlook. There are rocks with sand, so shoes with good traction are recommended.

Located near the Dam just off of the 89 highway along an unpaved road. If you continue along the road, you will find another trail called the Chains. This part of the road you will find is paved and then it will become unpaved again at some point. If you go past this trail entrance as well and continue to the dead end, you will end up in a parking area for the beach. The beach requires some decent footwear with traction as you will be walking along some sandy boulders.

There is a parking lot and entrance just at the corner of 20th Ave and Ridge Way. Access is on 20th. This trail is ideal for mountain biking and hiking as well. The terrain is a bit rugged and rocky. I highly recommend wearing proper hiking shoes. For those considering biking the trail, it is recommended you have some mountain biking experience. A proper mountain bike and helmet is necessary. Should you happen to take a spill, there are some jagged rocks and even cliffs along the trail. The trail is about 10 miles and ends nearby Buckeye Dr and Heron Dr. To head back to the Westview, you would need to ride about 2 miles back. I do believe the trail also goes further towards the 98. I don't recommend you go that far. I believe there are points where you could shortcut back to town, however they may not be exactly clear. You will see a number of lizards and birds, and maybe even some wild rabbits along the initial part of the trail.

During the peak season, the lake becomes very crowded. Seeing the Lake and being on it are totally different worlds. I highly recommend you get on the Lake and explore. A popular destination on the Lake is Lone Rock. If you have the time, I also suggest you take a tour or rent a boat to Rainbow Bridge. Jet skiing is also a popular sport.

Located just north outside of Kanab, Utah, this destination reminds me a lot of Antelope Canyon. Because the Antelope slot canyons are currently closed, should you not want to miss out on a slot canyon, this one might possibly be worth the trip. Please note that you need an atv, sand buggy, or high clearance 4 wheel drive vehicle with good traction tires to make it to this destination because of road conditions (very soft sand).

The journey getting there is quite adventurous and the hike from the boat landing is not too strenuous. It is definitely worth the visit. Be sure to bring water during the summer months. This arch is larger than the famous Arch from Arches National Park. A boat is required to reach the destination unless you want to hike 14 miles through Navajo Nation territory with a permit. Permits may not be offered at this time due to Covid. If you use your smart phones map, the gps function on the phone should be sufficient enough to guide you to the Monument at the 5x mile marker. There is information on the National Park Service website. The hike from the floating dock is about 2 miles round trip. It is pretty hot in the summer however there are areas that are both natural and man made to provide rest and shelter you from the sun. Morning time is the best time to visit due to the heat and also because of the amount of traffic on the lake as the day goes on. It helps to be early should you be bringing a boat to Page and need to find a parking space. Roundtrip from Wahweap is easily 6 hours including the hike. It takes about 1 tank of fuel (20 gallon tank should leave you with a quarter tank) to get there for a small boat (6 passenger). You may want to bring extra fuel just in case. You don’t want to need a tow back. It is over 50 miles each way from Wahweap. Overall, it is a surreal and worthwhile experience. Should the boat tour operators return, perhaps consider joining a tour as they provide food for the journey.
