THE BEST TexMex brunch in the city, and you can quote me on that. Order one of the scrambles or the breakfast tacos. They also do a very nice Bloody Mary and cheap mimosas.

I lived in Japan for 14 years, ate ramen once a week on average, and have been known to leave a harsh Yelp review or two for American ramen places. This ramen, however, is too legit to quit. There's a line every night for a reason.

You can't visit Austin without getting ice cream at Amy's! Think Cold Stone but way better. My go-to is coffee ice cream with junior mints and reese's pieces crushed in.

If you don't fancy queueing at Franklin's at 3am, Terry Black's is right up there with the best BBQ in the city. Order the brisket end (the fattiest part) and the pork ribs.
