Amazing vegan diner. The menu has all the diner staples you can think of and more - except they're all vegan. Recommended for vegans and non vegans alike. A very unique dining experience. There is often a wait, and they don't do reservations, so make sure you have time, or go off hours.

Delicious, authentic Italian food. They make their pasta fresh daily in house. The gnocchi pasta dish and the Brussels sprout salad are two of my personal favorites. They also have a great house wine.

Vegan international chain restaurant with an Asian- accented menu. Very tasty food. Good for eating in or takeout. Great lunch specials. You can get a dish for $7-8 and add on a salad, spring roll, and/or soup for only $1 more each. Very filling!

You may have heard of it... Roberta's is a Bushwick institution. They make classic brick over pizza, but with their own spin, using sometimes unique or strange toppings. It's amazing though, truly. They have an indoor and outdoor seating area. The wait can be very long, so try to go at odd hours.

This is a really cool concert venue less than a 15 minute walk away. It's on the larger side, at 1,800 person capacity, but they book a cool variety of artists from various genres of music. The sound system is tops, and the layout is nice and gives really good sight lines to the stage from almost anywhere in the venue. Drinks are a bit pricey though. Check out the schedule:

The guy behind the counter, Mef (possibly the owner) is almost always there and is super nice and will be happy to talk about beer and make recommendations. There are also some taps so you can fill up growlers if you like, or just sample some things.
