Sightseeing

Where Pilgrims FIRST landed Most people miss the real significance of this historic site. Commemorated by a cross (not a rock), this is where European settlers first landed in the new world. And the first act of the first settlers was to celebrate Mass. This is not only a must see peacefull, prayerful site, but rich in history. If you come to Saint Augustine and don't visit this site you've missed the real history of the City and our country.

An original Henry Flagler grand hotel, built to accommodate the visitors his Florida East Coast Railroad was bringing to Florida. Now a private liberal arts college. Worth taking a tour to appreciate the inside as much as the outside architecture and opulence.

Like eating with your Italian family. A bit off the beaten path but worth it. You'll be welcomed with open arms, warm smiles and great conversation about their history and the family photos on the walls. Robyn Tarantino's (owner with husband Jay) practice of preparing each meal from scratch and to order. So go to enjoy the great, authentic Italian food (via Brooklyn and Fort Lauderdale) but be sure to sit back and visit with the "family". If you don't you'll really miss out on what makes this restaurant special. NOTE! the address AirBnB has listed on their map is wrong. Please check the restaurants web site for their current address as they have moved.

Great "old Florida" experience, in an old house out over the swamp waters of the inter coastal. Have the rock shrimp if they are in season (ordinarily hard to find on the menu anywhere). Don't be in a hurry and just enjoy the experience and time with your dinning partner(s).
