This is a local gem, and not only because the local micro brews are unforgettably delicious but because the food and atmosphere are great. This place is great for families but may require a reservation for large groups. They have famous hot wings, loaded nachos, daily soups, burgers made with local grass-fed beef, and lots of vegetarian/vegan options.

The zoo has a wonderful otter display as well as a great cafe. The reptile and bird exhibits are beautiful. There's also a fun park right next to the zoo that is perfect for families. There are some hiking trails in the park that vary from easy pavement trails to moderately difficult trails. There is also a nice pond where families often like to feed the ducks and look at the turtles that live there.

This local organization celebrates the magic of live theater and musicals. They even do plays in the park in the summer and specialize in Shakespeare. In the past they have done Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Les Miserables, and The Importance of Being Earnest.

This shop includes items like locally made candles, beauty products, artistic supplies, historical photos, singing bowls, unique musical instruments, fine jewelry, beautiful scarves, stained glass art, journals, and gag gifts. They even have corners dedicated to the Day of the Dead and nautical art.
