You can't miss looking at the most gorgeous gardens, butterflies and plants. My favorite stop is the sensory garden where you are encouraged to smell, touch, and feel the plants and flowers around you. Then for lunch you can go to their open cafe where you can enjoy a delicious bbq dishes during the summer, or a warm hot chocolate during the colder seasons. You can get there by walking, but it could take a while. We encourage biking or driving there, however, there is a small fee if you bring your car. Either way, I think it is completely worth it!

This is the closest METRA stop to go to Chicago. We recommend this option if you want to spend a day in the city without having to worry about a parking lot. The issue is that you won't be able to park your car at the metra stop without a permit. You will have to look around for parking spots, which sometimes is not as easy.
