For a serious piece of meat I would highly recommend this restaurant. South African style dry rubs they offer a range of cuts of high quality meat and a few alternatives should that not be your cup of tea. Be warned the big steak they sell is a challenge but the quality is always excellent.

Mexican tapas bar offers great small dishes all bursting with flavour and good value. In a lively setting this little gem is a great alternative to normal Mexican restaurant.

For something a little bit different this 'speakeasy' styled bar is very interesting. They offer a great range of cocktails in a very unique environment. Well worth a visit.

Sightseeing
The famous Edinburgh Castle has to be one of the most popular tourist attractions in the city and is well worth a visit. Steeped in history and with incredible views around the city I would highly recommend this.

Calton Hill
Calton HillA little bit of a climb but well worth the views.
This isn't for the faint hearted. It is possible to drive around where you will get maybe half way up which does offer nice views. However, for the really incredible views of the city there is nowhere better. I would say it takes roughly 45 mins to walk up for a fairly fit person.

Parks & Nature
Truly beautiful gardens and free so a great cheap day out. Not far from the city centre on the bus and well worth a visit.
