Although attending concerts at Red Rocks beats all, Red Rocks is a must see destination for all. It is a gorgeous natural amphitheater with a deep Denver history. Besides being beautiful with great views of the city, it is an exercise destination for many who use the steps for complex workouts. During the day one can wonder onto the stage, enjoy the museum and get a bite to eat. There are trails around the theater also. If you want an easy walk go to the top parking lot. Also, during concert season the theater usually closes mid afternoon to set up for setup..

Sloan Lake is only two blocks to the north and provides a wonderful view of the mountains to the west and downtown Denver to the east. The paved path that encircles the lake is approximately 2.5 miles and is used by walkers, bikers, and runners. There are two substantial playgrounds for the kids, tennis courts and hoops, and a lovely flower garden at the east end.
