It is located just steps away from the main square of San Miguel de Allende, the prettiest and most restored/written-about Colonial city in all of Mexico. Offering a full bar, it serves lunch and dinner five days a week in a sun-dappled eighteenth century Moroccan courtyard, as well as in their elegant dining salon.

Mi Vida restaurant knows how authentic Italian food should taste. Freshness is imperative, and the restaurant always uses top notch ingredients to create scrumptious dishes. Starting from the basic but all important home-made bread to dip in top quality olive oil to the home-made pastas, the perfectly cooked fresh fish and the lamb chops, Mi Vida never disappoints. Live jazz music during the evenings creates the perfect atmosphere for a memorable dinner.

Best location in downtown, next to the Parroqui location, beautiful interior design with amazing views. Food is exquisite of course! The staff are equally as attentive and friendly here as Pueblo Viejo and La Azotea - definitely one of my favourite places in San Miguel.

3 Cuna de AllendeBest location in downtown, next to the Parroqui location, beautiful interior design with amazing views. Food is exquisite of course! The staff are equally as attentive and friendly here as Pueblo Viejo and La Azotea - definitely one of my favourite places in San Miguel.

La Azotea, located just steps away from the jardin, is a wonderful place to be at sunset. The views are very pretty, especially of the convent and the parroquia. The décor is upscale-casual and trendy, with mostly table seating but also some couch/banquette seating. It’s also very fun late night, when they often have a DJ – which makes it very popular with an international crowd of hipsters. Their bar menu - which is served until closing - is actually quite good. We eat there often - and not just in the evenings since they're also open for lunch. We love the shrimp jicama tacos, and the ciabattas, and pretty much everything they serve.

The church was built in the 17th century with a traditional Mexican façade.
