This is an excellent pub. They are rightly proud of their Sunday lunches. They have an A' la carte as well as a standard menu and are thought to have the best beer garden in the south east of England. good range of local ales and friendly atmosphere. Not to be missed.

This is more of a restaurant than a pub because it is owned by Giles Thompson who used to be the executive head chef at the Ritz Hotel in London. Excellent service wonderful food to suit all tastes. Clients come from far and wide to eat in this restaurant. Said by many to be the best place to eat in Sussex. They also start their evening menu early to cater for customers who have tickets at the Chichester Festival Theatre

Excellent service wonderful food to suit all tastes. Clients come from far and wide to eat in this restaurant. Said by many to be the best place to eat in Sussex. This is a decent place to have a pint or get a meal. They are proud of there range of ales and have a beer garden that is partly covered so it can be used throughout the year. There is always a good atmosphere in the Star and Garter.

Town LaneThis is an excellent place to start your day the lakeside café at the Open Air Museum in the village. Watch the antics of the ducks and the visitors to the museum while you linger over a cup of coffee. You can visit the café and not go around the museum if you wish, but be sure to visit this extensive site before the end of your stay. There is a lot to learn here about this part of the country.
This is another excellent Café. A good place to start if you are visiting the gardens and arboretum. They have tables outside to tempt you into the gardens. This café is also used by students at the nearby West Dean College so you may come across enthusiastic groups of people discussing their course and work.

This is our local shop good for essentials and home made bread and preserves. It is also a good café much used by walkers and cyclists from the nearby Centurion Way. They have a good deal of space inside, but you might prefer to use one of the tables outside so that you can watch the comings and goings in the village.

There is always a great deal of things going on at the Pallant House Gallery. It also has one of the best Cafes in Chichester so if you cannot decide where to go try here.

There are many coffee shops in Arundel and you will certainly get a good cup of coffee here. Don't be put off by the frontage they have loads of space upstairs where you can sit on leather sofas and look out over the town. A good cup of coffee homemade cakes and soup also available.
