Our local Thai restaurant. Definitely 'above average' food. Cool decor, can get loud when busy so we usually eat in the bar or get take out.

NOTE! The location on this recommendation is not correct. Rosemont opened their Falmouth location in February, 2019 at 231 US Route 1. If you turn left out of our driveway and walk/drive up to the traffic light at Route 1. Rosemont Market is on the left side. Fabulous breads, bakery treats, takeout food, great wine selection. Rosemont Markets are a local favorite, and we LOVE having them here in Falmouth now!

Simply the BEST donuts! Vegan options. There are multiple locations. Exchange Street is great if you're already parked in Portland and walking around. Park Ave is best for driving in to pick up. Seriously... try not to miss this Portland experience!

Located in a renovated Grange Hall in Yarmouth. 15 minute drive, and VERY worth the trip. Casual, but fantastic, creative, locally-sourced dining.

The Town Landing, a mile away, is home to the largest anchorage in Maine. The vessels are mostly recreational sailboats, and a few commercial lobster boats. There is a small beach, pier, and cool rocks to sit on and watch all the activity. It's a great place to launch kayaks and paddleboards. The sunrises are amazing here!

There are hundreds of islands in Casco Bay. A few are populated, with ferry service from Portland. Peaks Island is the closest, and definitely worth visiting! Taking the ferry out and back is also a great, inexpensive way to get out on the water!
