A very cool place if you're into games, both board and screen-based. Still a good place for drinks if you're not a gamer, and dog friendly which is always a plus.

This place is awesome. My friend and I wandered in on an open mic night and ended up having an amazing time. There is something going on most evenings, and I definitely recommend Thursday, because open mics are always a good time.

A very cool place which a great outdoor area. Definitely a student venue (with a student discount), so bear that in mind if it gets a bit loud.

Sightseeing
Think of the London Eye, but vertical. Absolutely incredible views, and while it's a bit pricey, I could not recommend it more if you have the budget.

Take a tour around the palace built as a seaside holiday home for King George IV. A very interesting combination English regency and Indian and Chinese interior design.

Really beautiful gardens with plenty or space in which to sit, read, enjoy a drink, or listen to some busking. A lovely place to unwind in the centre of town.

Not a lot to add, really, it's a beach. Innumerable beach bars, shops, performers, and the pier, which houses loads of excellent rides and amusements.

The Brighton Open Market is literally a one minute walk from that flat, and boasts a plethora of independent stalls. Good for food (the bakery and pork pie shop are personal favourites), gifts, clothes, and books.
