An absolutely beautiful walk down to the beach through the picnic area and reserve filled with roo's and rosella's. There are a few BBQ's that get reserved pretty early in day.

Walk down to the beach and all the way to the end... past the children's playground towards the shrub forest and you will find a flat walking path that goes for km's around the basin. It's not a loop so turn back at any time.
It's a beautifully peaceful walk at any time of day and throughout the year but a chilly winter sunset is breathtaking once you've walked about 1.5km through the forest to the flat grounds where there are occasional viewing and rest benches along the way.

If you're not a strong swimmer you might not want to start here as the waves can get pretty rough but if you're after surf lessons this is the place you'd get them. If you're not a strong swimmer you might not want to start here as the waves can get pretty rough but if you're after surf lessons this is the place you'd get them. Keep in mind it's quite a walk down to the beach and after a day of swimming and being in the sun the walk back up can be challenging if you're carrying lots of things

Even if it's closed there are some great ships to look at on display outside. There is often a Sunday market held here too!

My personal favourite breakfast spot. The coffee is great and if you've ever had an American style breakfast wrap this place gets pretty close in replicating that delicious BBQ bacon egg and hashbrown combo. The pancakes are good too, always handy to ask for extra berries

Sightseeing
You can often see whale migration from the peak of Huskisson and enjoy the dolphin's put on their show amongst the waves but if you miss it the cruises are almost a guarantee to spot a few of the locals.

Check out the ruins of the old lighthouse with a history of badluck! It's a short stroll to magnificent views and has plaques along the way for a look back through time

Big grocery spot for Woolworths and Aldi. There's also Bakers delight and Jamaica Blue coffee shop (delish!) Nando's, Sushi and some other food options. Nail salon, Massage, Pharmacy and clothing stores.

A bit of a drive for only one shop, but then again it is one of the best Surf Factory Outlet's. The best sales are usually just before peak season, although it's always hit and miss. Best if you don't go looking for anything specific
