Located inside the Omni hotel. this is the closest (local) coffee shop to my place - Heine Brother's Coffee. But the market also has several other food options including a bakery, breakfast counter, taco truck, pizza bar, BBQ counter, and sushi counter. It also has many grocery items and grab and go options for a quick lunch or dinner. There's even a liquor store and flower shop!

Southern cooking at its best. I recommend the brisket tacos or shrimp and grits. Also, if it's a month ending in 'R' then it's oyster season - try one from the raw bar with a Kentucky Mule or Mint Julep.

Looking for the best burger in Louisville? You won't find it at one of the many "gourmet" burger restaurants - it's right here at a car-hop style drive-in called Dizzy Whizz. It's a classic greasy diner cheeseburger and crispy fries. If it's a sunny day, you'll want to park the car, roll the windows down, crank up the music, and enjoy a little taste of nostalgia (with a milkshake, of course).

See how bourbon is made from still to barrel to bottle - if you're lucky they'll even let you push the button to flame the barrel! A great place on the river for a walk or run with lots of paved paths. Stroll across the Big 4 Pedestrian Bridge over to Indiana for a longer adventure. You can rent bicycles or pedal carts at the base of the bridge. This park hosts the annual Thunder Over Louisville air show and fireworks display in April, Forecastle music festival in July, and many other community events throughout the year.
