Parks & Nature
Mt Rushmore is actually a national monument but besides seeing the faces there is a great museum behind the amphitheater, a fun hiking trail to the base of the mountain, & a Junior Ranger program for the kids.

Just an hour away from the Black Hills but so uniquely different. Well worth taking the day to go see or detour off I-90, coming or going for a few hours out of your way.

If you want to experience things unique to our area of the country then Devils Tower is another "Must Do" on your list. Drive up through beautiful Spearfish Canyon to get to there for another gorgeous drive, then return through Vanockers Canyon to be overwhelmed by nature's beauty again.

Just go. Hard to describe but was the old mercantile store for the town for many years before big retail came into the scene. Now a "treasure trove" as my sons call it of great things. You never know what you might find.
