A spectacular historic fortress dominating the skyline of Edinburgh from its position on the Castle Rock. Great for walking up the esplanade to get amazing views of the city and if you enjoy military history it's worth doing a tour.
Open from 9:30am daily, currently closing at 6pm (last entry 5pm). £17.50 for online tickets or £19.50 at the gate.

With a few shops around Edinburgh, Bross Bagels make the most delicious authentic bagels from Montreal. Highly recommended for breakfast or lunch, but be aware that you may have to wait in a queue at peak lunch times. Totally worth it though!
