Things to do within walking distance
Listed are a few things to do within walking distance of the house.
Just a few minutes down the road is Providence Park. You will regularly find children playing, dogs running, and people walking the circular path around the grass. This is a great place to come and relax or get in a game of basketball or play catch with your dog. There are pet waste disposal bags located at the park.

Worthy Brewery is one of Bend's best brew pubs and a must see in Bend. Less than 10 minutes by foot, this brew pub offers a huge selection of their award winning beers, and delicious organic food, much of which is grown on the grounds. Bring your dog and sit outside in the fenced dog area or leave them at home and try one of the many indoor areas the Worthy has to offer. Feel like stargazing? Try the Hopservatory on the second floor. This state of the art observatory regularly hosts events and classes. Landsystems Nursery is only a couple of blocks from the house and can be a lot of fun during a nice day. Walk through the greenhouses and fields, enjoy the smells, and talk to the helpful staff.

During the summer and fall nothing slows down at Mt. Bachelor. Take the lift for a sightseeing trip, go mountain biking, hike, or play the infamous (and sometimes devious) disc golf course starting at the summit.

Popular spots include Big Eddy Trailhead, Benham Falls, Dillon Falls, and Lava Island Falls are all popular spots to start your walk. Don't be surprised to see a variety of animals as well as rafters going down the rapids.
