Specialized in seafood, fish and carefully prepared raw fish. But even the most tender meat and good vegetarian specialties are available. A restaurant with style, but not overdone.
Hospitality, good service, excellent wines, all part of it. Very well located, you can park your car in front of the house, which is pleasant in Tropea.

Good selection of Calabrian wines, friendly service. Always well attended by hungry guests, a table reservation is required. One of our favorite places, the location is beautiful.
A restaurant nearby on Monte Poro, where you can eat very good local specials. We go there because it is not far and because of the food.
The service, however, is not exceptionally noteworthy. If you go early before a possible large crowd arrives, it is more convenient.

Excellent Pizza, thin and crispy! Further, there is also a menu of local dishes available. Just 10 minutes from home.
The service is friendly, but sometimes a bit forgetful. With a few nice words and a little patience, it works in the end.
If we desire for pizza, we usually go there.

It's worth it to go to the Museo Archeologico, because you can see probably, the world's finest examples of ancient Greek sculpture: the Bronzi di Riace , two extraordinary bronze statues discovered on the seabed near Riace in 1972 by a snorkelling chemist from Rome.

Public transport is unfortunately an unknown word in this region. However, by regional train you can start from here excursions to Reggio Calabria, Pizzo and other destinations, as well as to the airport of Lamezia Terme

Sightseeing
Capo Vaticano with its lighthouse is the tip of the peninsula. This rock you can also see from our Residence. In any case, a trip there it's worth, because it is not far and you have a splendid beautiful panoramic view of the turquoise sea and the sandy coves.
You also see several beaches and overlying our small village Coccorino, at the foot of the mountain Monte Poro.

The place is "styled", the design has nothing to do with a clear Architecture, it looks more like "too much decorated". The prices for a dinner are very high for the region, but the one who loves fancy, will feel comfortable.
Our advice is always the ice cream: Probably the very best Gelato in the entire district. Don't miss it! Unfortunately only open in high season in evening hours.
