Tallinn - places to go

This is my personal recommendation list of places to absolutely not miss in Tallinn.
The interactive video game museum LVLup! is a place where you can revisit your childhood or discover the history of video games from 1970ies to today. The museum has thematic gaming rooms that are have the design of the time of the games they are presenting. Put up by 2 enthousiasts of retro gaming, the place is a unique treasure. You will pay only for the time that you spend in there, but take at least 1h or 2h for the visit.

The Contemporary Art Museum of Estonia is the place to see the emerging Estonian art. They also give out the contemporary artist prize Köler prize every 2 years. There is the art book shop Lugemik in their yard and a lovely café at the entrance. Take at least 1h or better 2h to stay there. Go walking on the seaside, starting from EKKM and continuing all the way up north to Kopli by Kultuurikilomeeter / Culture Kilometer that starts in front of the EKKM / CAME.

The beach is great for walking and cycling, with children, for couples or alone. Feel the sea air! Lots of attractions for children, a café on the beach, long walking road to Rocca al Mare. There is a park Merimetsa by the beach - amazing for walking or running under the pine trees on the soft forest surface.

The bar is the place to crash after all other bars have closed. Exotic interior and company.

A cosy small café to go to for breakfast. They serve typical Estonian breakfast - porridge with butter and jam , but also cakes, coffee , soups etc. Just around the corner from the apartment!
