A cozy pub, especially during the summer where you can get sit outside and get the amazing view of the river that runs through Ålesund. They have a few very decent cocktails as well!

Being in Norway and in an ocean town, you will find seafood everywhere. Zuuma is a great restaurant that servers japan and sushi-inspired dishes and is a well-known restaurant by the locals.

One of the best seafood restaurants in town. I remember coming here as a kid and even though I didn't like seafood then they made me fall in love with salmon then!

Tourist spots you should visit
Probably the most famous tourist spot of Ålesund but that is also a must visit if you have never been to Ålesund before. The view you get from here is just one of the most breathtaking spots and I still visit it once every time I come home to Ålesund.

If you want to hike like a local Sukkertoppen is not far from my Airbnb. It takes around 30 minutes to walk to the top and it's such a great feeling of accomplishment when you get to the top and the view is a great bonus too. Come here on a sunny day and you won't regret it.
