Just a 2 block walk, this park hosts the capitol and other municipal buildings. The history museum is nearby and there is an Ai Wei Wei outdoor exhibit of the Chinese zodiacs.
I will also mention that there are a lot of homeless people here. If that makes you uncomfortable, I recommend you skip this park. That being said, I stroll there often (as a fan of Ai Wei Wei and local activist efforts) and I've never encountered an experience that felt unsafe or threatening.

Civic Center Park

A completely vegetarian menu only 2 blocks away. I adore their brunch, but this place also boasts good coffee, a good bar, and a late night menu that serves food till 2am (and opens at 7am).

I am a huge fan of this place because a) they deliver if you don't feel like walking b) they have THE BEST gluten free sub sandwich bread c) every time you order in house, you can choose a playing card that could earn you a free lunch.

This place is funny. It looks really divey, and it took me a while to trust it, but the food is actually delicious. And it's buy one get one free on many of their alcoholic choices all day.

Totally visit this place- even if it's just for a drink. The rooftop provides an awesome view of downtown Denver and they have about 10 different restaurant options + 2 bars within the same building. It's pop-up style.

This is Travis's favorite spot. The beer production is closer to wine than most, so the result is an incredible selection of naturally sour beers. They're made in a similar fashion to sourdough bread, taking on qualities of the air and water of Denver. Highly recommend!

LOVE THIS PLACE. But I love contemporary art... They switch up their exhibitions often. If you visit, make sure to check the basement and the rooftop. The rooftop has a cafe and bar, so you can look at some art, then fill up as you gaze upon other rooftops. Also, this is a lovely bike ride from the condo. You simply hop on Cherry Creek Trail and you're on your way.

The rooftop has a cafe and bar, so you can look at some art, then fill up as you gaze upon other rooftops. Also, this is a lovely bike ride from the condo. You simply hop on Cherry Creek Trail and you're on your way.
Also a good bike ride from the condo, this is just slightly further than the MCA. You can dip your feet in the water, lay in the grass, or go check out REI's flagship store.
